Tbt do dia em que o Cônsul da Índia em Minas Gerais, Dr. Elson de Barros Gomes Junior conheceu o músico indiano Ravi Shankar e o músico George Harrison em um Ashram em Rishikesh. O Cônsul contou que os convidou para visitar o Brasil e que nos anos 80,Ravi Shankar aceitou seu convite para realizar um concerto no Palácio das Artes em Belo Horizonte, enquanto George Harrison disse que preferia não participar do concerto, já que queria “conhecer o Brasil como conheceu a Índia”. Além de Ravi e George, outros amigos músicos vieram ao Brasil com eles.
Ravi Shankar e George Harrison estavam planejando uma volta ao Brasil para conhecer a Floresta Amazônica, porém infelizmente, não houve o tão planejado retorno devido ao falecimento de ambos. No entanto, em sua vinda ao Brasil nos anos 80,Dr. Elson os apresentou e acompanhou em uma visita na Mata do Jambreiro em Belo Horizonte, a qual apresenta dois biomas, o Cerrado e a Mata Atlântica.
